Black Pencil Project puts colors back to the season

During holiday season, our thoughts turn greatfully to those who have made our success possible. It is in this spirit we say … thank you and best wishes for the holidays and a happy new year.

In lieu of greeting cards or gifts, a pledge of support to the Black Pencil Project Organization was made on your behalf. The proceeds will help support the Art Therapy Program** that will benefit the children of afflicted communitiesof flood and landslides in northern Philippines.

About the Black Pencil Project

Black Pencil Project is a grass-root level, volunteer organization with initiativeto provide pencils and basic school supplies to every Filipino child of remoteand indigenous communities nationwide. The collective initiave fosters child primary education, volunteerismand shared social responsibility.

* A number of small studies claim that art therapy reduces depression through helping people, particularly children in trauma resolve emotional problems and release repressed feelings.

** Art Therapy program will be started on January 2010 in select areas afflicted by calamities.
