Students Of De La Salle Graduate School of Business Rebuilt A Day Care School With Black Pencil Project

Makati City – Students of De La Salle Graduate School of Business in Makati campus rebuilt a Day Care Center in Janosa, Binangonan, Rizal with the Black Pencil Project. Seventeen masteral students together with the professor in the Corporate Social Responsibility class oversee the ceremonial turn-over of construction materials during a program in Barangay Janosa, Talim Islands on August 21, 2010. Building materials were ferried from Binangonan port to help reconstruct the Day Care school that was destroyed during the Typhoon Basyang. School materials, rain boots and toys were also given to the Day Care pupils.

[...] What supposed to be just a rehabilitation of the chairs and tables of the Janosa Day Care Center two months ago by the students of the De La Salle Graduate School of Business (DLS-GSB) ended up with the commitment of the students to assist in rebuilding the day care center. The group found out that the school was badly hit by Typhoon Basyang and repainting the chairs and tables weren’t enough since there’s no longer a school standing after the typhoon hit the town of Janosa. The group took the challenge in helping the community rebuild the school by providing the construction supplies needed (see story here). [...]
