Overview

Black Pencil Project is a collective initiative to provide pencils (and other light school materials) to public elementary schools in remote communities (accessible by foot) across the country through resources mobilization. It aims to encourage localized participation, individual commitment of goodwill, in support to government education programs in the countryside.

Mission

To reach out to every Filipino child in the far-flung communities around the Philippines; to teach, inspire, the early learners to go to school and to promote education as foundation of life’ success.

Vision

Black Pencil Project seeks to catalyze its “One Pencil At A Time Program” to spur ideas among passionate individuals to become instruments of hope.

Black Pencil Is Symbolic

Black Pencil Project aims to inspire individuals to start a cause no matter how small it is. It demonstrate simple ways and means of becoming a responsible individual and catapult of change in the society.

Black Pencil Project taps optimistic Filipinos with passionate professions and hobbies to partake in the advocacy of being instruments of hope to the enthusiastic young learners.

Black Pencil Project provides alternate windows to private companies and organizations to maximize their social responsiveness programs.
