Immersion Programs
While the main programs of Black Pencil Project happen during the pre-enrollment period of public elementary school systems in the Philippines, in between during months of August to March, the organization conducts immersion activities available to volunteers, including donors and supporters to experience first hand the pencil advocacy.
These programs are:
Photo Cultural Tour
An immersion program designed for photographers and volunteers in Black Pencil Project target communities.
Art Workshop
A summer immersion program designed for Black Pencil Project donors, supporters and artist volunteers in Black Pencil Project target communities.
Mural Painting
An interactive mural painting activity involving Black Pencil Project volunteers and community beneficiaries. This serves as a friendship wall, it aims to forged camaraderie and mutual friendship.
BPP Brigada Eskuwela
A minor classroom rehabilitation assistance given to select Day Care and Primary schools of Black Pencil target communities. Repainting of classroom’s black boards, arm chairs and desks are made with the assistance of the community.
Pencil Treks
A partnership with mountaineering/outdoor clubs to reach far-flung communities.
